16th June, 2009 - update
Have managed to get back to my early morning routine - the Trail both ways is dry but a little bumpy in places a legacy of last years weather I'm afraid even after a concerted effort of work parties grading the worst areas. Talking of works the Trail is now back to its full width up at Tresarret with the completion of the bank being shored up.
Wadebridge early.!
The Trail both ways is dry.
A beautiful June!
We are going through a purple phase on the Trail at the moment as the Hawthorn dies off Campion, Foxgloves, Padstow Pride all interwoven with Honeysuckle - it really is a sight to behold. The smell of Honeysuckle in the early morning dew is something else it sets me up for the day.
.
No sightings of Otters or Deer this week but did someone say there were not many baby rabbits this year - they are all over the place - maybe the cold winter and Spring had something to do with that - I do like them scampering around on my rides.
With the longest day coming up an evening ride with a pint down at Padstow is a must for our family maybe lucky and a Band will be playing on the Quayside then a ride back with the Sun setting - you really do not have to go far to find perfection.
