Outline tide and moon information for February

Moon in February: New Moon 14th, First Quarter 22nd, Full Moon 28th, Last Quarter 5th February.
The moon is a principal factor in the state of tides. New and full moons will yield spring tides, first or last quarter neap tides. Springs are very high and very low, neaps moderate movement. Low spring tides will give plenty of beach space available or foreshore to explore. On high spring tides there will be a minimum of beach space and foreshore available.
